Aleena Itrat is a modern Urdu poet whose work reflects both warmth and emotional honesty. She was born on June 6 in Nagina, a town in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. Alongside her passion for writing, she pursued a strong academic background, completing her studies in English Literature and History and earning a B.Ed degree.

She began her professional career as an educator, teaching in schools, but poetry remained her true identity. Her verses carry a feminine sensitivity that has been praised by literary circles for their simplicity, purity, and depth of feeling. Whether in ghazals or nazms, her poetry speaks directly to the heart, often weaving emotions with thoughtful reflection.

Her book Suraj Tum Jao received significant recognition, earning awards from the Delhi Urdu Academy and the Bihar Urdu Academy in consecutive years. This success brought her to the attention of a wider audience and secured her place among respected contemporary voices in Urdu literature.
